Pasadena Outpatient believes in the 6 dimensions of Wellness.

Emotional Wellness involves being attentive and in tune with your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. When you have achieved emotional wellness you have the ability to be aware of and accept feelings, rather than deny them and have an optimistic approach to life. You are able to enjoy life despite it’s disappointments and frustrations. We are here to teach you tools to help you achieve emotional wellness.

Spiritual Wellness is exploring and finding your own sense of meaning and purpose. Some tools to help in the path to spiritual wellness may include meditation, prayer, affirmations and yoga. Your spirituality is ultimately defined by your capacity for love and forgiveness, religious beliefs, values, principles and morals. Do your values guide your decisions and actions? Are you accepting of others views if they don’t align with your own? Pasadena Outpatient is here to help you find balance and harmony in your journey to spiritual wellness.

Physical Wellness promotes proper care of our bodies for optimal health and functioning. With top physical wellness we understand how important what we put inside our body is for our physical and mental well-being. The physical benefits of looking good and feeling terrific most often lead to the psychological benefits of enhanced self-esteem, self-control, determination and a sense of direction.

Intellectual Wellness is living a stimulating and successful life. A few ways to achieve Intellectual wellness are participating in cultural and community activities, engaging in mental growth and the exploration of new ideas.

Occupational Wellness recognizes personal satisfaction and enrichment in one’s life through work. This also includes learning how to balance work life and leisure time. Learning how to create a peaceful working environment.

Social Wellness includes having meaningful relationships, good communication skills, respecting yourself and others and creating a support system that includes friends and family. Are your relationships with others positive and rewarding? We give you the tools to create long lasting positive relationships.

12 Steps

  • Step 1:

We admitted we were powerless over alcohol—that our lives had become unmanageable.

  • Step 2:

Came to believe that a Power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity.

  • Step 3:

Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of God as we understood Him.

  • Step 4:

Made a searching and fearless moral inventory of ourselves.

  • Step 5:

Admitted to God, to ourselves, and to another human being the exact nature of our wrongs.

  • Step 6:

Were entirely ready to have God remove all these defects of character.

  • Step 7:

Humbly asked Him to remove our shortcomings.

  • Step 8:

Made a list of all persons we had harmed, and became willing to make amends to them all.

  • Step 9:

Made direct amends to such people wherever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others.

  • Step 10:

Continued to take personal inventory and when we were wrong promptly admitted it.

  • Step 11:

Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God, as we understood Him, praying only for knowledge of His will for us and the power to carry that out.

  • Step 12:

Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these Steps, we tried to carry this message to alcoholics, and to practice these principles in all our affairs.
